Gemini Announces Recipients of 2016 Ross Wagner Engineering Scholarship

Cannon Falls, MN—May 3, 2016—Gemini is pleased to announce Matt Moskal and Bjorn Pearson are the recipients of its 2016 Ross Wagner Engineering Scholarship. Both recipients are seniors at the Cannon Falls High School.

The Ross Wagner Scholarship was established to provide scholarships to deserving students seeking degrees at the country’s top engineering schools. Every scholarship recipient receives a benefit of $100,000 paid over 4 years.

Matt Moskal will be attending University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and is accepted into the University Honors program. He plans to major in Chemical Engineering. Moskal enjoys playing golf and guitar and watching Minnesota sports.

Bjorn Pearson will be attending the University of Michigan where he plans to major in aerospace engineering. Pearson participated in cross-country, basketball, speech, math league, multiple bands and choir. Pearson is an Eagle Scout and plays on the worship team at Riverwood Community Church. Pearson stated that he, “appreciates all the teachers, coaches and community members who provided him opportunities to learn and grow.”

Dedicated to the memory of Ross C. Wagner (1924-1992), the second Chairman of the Board of Directors at Gemini, the Ross Wagner Scholarship provides $100,000 scholarships for students majoring in civil, aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, biomedical and chemical engineering as well as chemistry and physics. It is open to all students attending the local high school in cities where Gemini’s manufacturing plants are located: Decorah, IA; Cannon Falls, MN; Farmville, VA; Taylor, TX; Fallon, NV; and Hanover, Ontario. It is also available to students attending the local high schools in Howard, SD and Randolph, MN, which are the hometowns of Gemini’s founders.
