First Enerpac SL300 Telescopic Hydraulic Gantry for Jozef Hermans

Menomonee Falls, WI—October 27, 2017—Industry equipment moving specialist, Jozef Hermans Industrial Movers, based in Venlo, The Netherlands, has invested in an Enerpac SL300 telescopic hydraulic gantry for their worldwide heavy lifting and machinery moving business. The SL300 completes the company’s range of four Enerpac gantry lifting systems for lifting jobs ranging from 100T to 400T (SL100, SL200, SL300 and SL400).

Jozef Hermans has over 70 years’ experience of industrial removal of production machinery, production lines, and even complete factories. For more than 40 years, Jozef Hermans has worked with telescopic hydraulic gantry systems, and for almost 20 years with Enerpac systems. Enerpac is able to fulfil Jozef Hermans’ requirement for a modern, compact and high standard gantry system.

“Over 80% of our moves are within a factory and so the space needed for the lifting system is critical,” says Jos Hermans, director, Jozef Hermans. “The SL300’s smaller footprint is a significant addition to our capability for internal moves. It increases our competitive edge, allowing us to handle equipment moves where previously we would have struggled to implement the lift in the space available.”

Compact and Factory Friendly

Enerpac gantry systems are a cost-effective alternative to cumbersome crane structures for internal factory moves. They need relatively little space and there is no need to undertake costly and time consuming structural changes to the building for crane access.

“Importantly the SL300, and other Enerpac gantries, are electrically driven which is essential when you are operating inside a factory as there are no fumes generated by the lift system. Also, the wireless control allows us to view the lift from different positions giving us complete control where space is tight,” notes Jos Hermans. Precise control is vital. Jozef Hermans is able to use its experience and technical knowledge to move machines in their entirety, avoiding the need to disassemble the machine for a faster and more cost-effective move.

The SL300 uses a 61cm (24-inch) track gauge for loads up to 3000 kN, offering the industry’s highest lifting capacity for a narrow track gantry with integrated self-propelled drive system. The gantry is compact and readily transported in a single container, and provides industry leading features such as a wireless control system and totally enclosed hydraulic power pack and hoses to ensure safety.

Jozef Hermans Industrial Movers services include: industrial removals, machine disassembly and assembly, specialised machine transport, international special transport and machine storage and packing.
