Enerpac Announces a New Line of Sync Grip Pullers to Simplify Operator Jobs

Enerpac SG-Series Sync Grip Pullers

Menomonee Falls, Wis. – March 29, 2017 – Enerpac announces the SG-Series Sync Grip Pullers for the simple and safe removal of shaft-mounted items. The multipurpose puller range can remove items including bearings, bushings, gears, sleeves, wheels, and sprockets. The pullers are available in both mechanical and hydraulic configurations, with a variety of optional accessories that expand application range and increase utility.

Hydraulic models are available in standard kits which include detachable hydraulic cylinders and a choice of pump options, along with a gauge assembly and hose for safe monitoring of applied pulling forces.

“We developed this new line of pullers to help make operators’ jobs easier and safer,” said Jay Baudhuin, Global Product Manager at Enerpac. “Specifically, the hydraulic Sync Grip Pullers can reduce operator fatigue by increasing the applied pulling force and capacity.”

The sync-grip mechanism of the pullers synchronizes the movement of the jaws for simultaneous engagement. Additionally, the threaded spindle and jaw indexes provide adjustable reach, and the three-jaw configuration evens load distribution.

SG-Series Sync Grip Pullers include:

  • SGM-Series Mechanical Sync Grip Pullers with a capacity of 1–20 tons, maximum reach 4.1–23.6 inches, and spread range 4.3–26.8 inches.
  • MPS-Series Hydraulic Sync Grip Master Puller Set with a capacity of 14–50 tons, maximum reach 12.6–6 inches, and spread range 3.78–38.6 inches, with 10,000 psi maximum operating pressure. The MPS set also includes a Cross Puller, Bearing Separator and Bearing Cup Puller.
  • GPS-Series Hydraulic Sync Grip Puller Set with a capacity of 14–50 tons, maximum reach 12.6–6 inches, and spread range of 13.8–38.6 inches, with 10,000 psi maximum operating pressure.
